Add Links to PDF

Add Links turns any text or area of your PDF into a genuine clickable link. Draw a box over the words or image you want to make clickable, then point it at a web address, an email, or another page in the same file. Unlike highlighting, drawing, or adding text — which are all burned onto the page — a link is written as a real /Link annotation, an invisible hotspot laid over your existing content. Nothing is drawn or moved: the words and images under the link look exactly as before, they just become clickable.

You can add two kinds: an external link (a bare address like example.com becomes https://example.com, and [email protected] becomes a mailto: link) or an internal jump to another page in the same PDF — handy for a table of contents. Because they're standard link annotations, they work in Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, and every other viewer, not just underlined text that looks like a link. It all runs in your browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib, so your file never leaves your device. To strip links back out later, use Remove Links.
