Convert AVIF to PDF, free, in your browser

AVIF (AV1 Image File Format) is a modern format that keeps high quality at a very small file size, but not every app or website opens it yet. Converting an AVIF to PDF makes it easy to view, print, and share anywhere. pdfcosmos does it entirely on your device, so your images are never uploaded.

Your browser decodes each AVIF locally (current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari) and places it into the PDF, so nothing is uploaded. If your browser is too old to open AVIF, the tool shows a clear message instead of a broken file. Add up to 50 images, drag them into the order you want, and choose Fit to image or A4 / US Letter with an orientation and margin.

Frequently asked questions

Are my AVIF files uploaded to a server?
No. Decoding AVIF and building the PDF both happen locally in your browser tab. Your pictures never travel to a server. The browser's Network tab will show no image data being sent.
What is an AVIF file?
AVIF (AV1 Image File Format) is a modern format that keeps high quality at a small file size. Not every app or website opens it yet, so converting to PDF makes it easy to view and share anywhere.
Does it work in my browser?
AVIF is decoded by your browser, which works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. If your browser is too old to open AVIF, the tool shows a clear message instead of producing a broken file. Update your browser and try again.
Can I convert several AVIF images at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 AVIF images together. One page per image, in whatever order you arrange the queue (drag the cards, or move them with the arrow buttons), delivered by default as a single PDF; add two or more and a “Multiple files” option lets you make a separate PDF for each instead, bundled together as a ZIP.
Can I set the page size and margins?
Yes. Select “Fit to image” to size each page to its AVIF's exact dimensions, or place the pictures on A4 / US Letter with your preferred orientation and margin. Fixed pages scale and center each picture.
Is AVIF to PDF free?
Yes, it's completely free to use, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
