Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Extraction runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device. You can confirm it in your browser's Network tab: no file data is sent.
What's in the JSON?
A faithful text export: the page count and, for each page, the extracted text split into best-effort reading-order lines. It's not invoice- or field-level extraction. A PDF has no semantic structure, so that would require an AI/server product.
It says my PDF has no selectable text. Why?
The PDF is likely scanned (pages are images with no text layer). Run it through OCR first, then convert the searchable PDF here.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Add up to 30 files. One downloads as a .json file, and two or more download together as a single ZIP.
