Stamp a PDF — add APPROVED, DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, and more

Stamp PDF marks your document with a bold diagonal stamp in one click. Pick a ready-made mark — APPROVED, DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, PAID, FINAL, or REVIEWED, each in a sensible default color — or type your own text, then choose the color and which pages get it: every page, just the first or last, or a custom range like 1-3, 5. The stamp is drawn diagonally across the page, the classic office-stamp look, so a document's status is obvious at a glance.

You can stamp a single PDF or up to 30 at once with the same mark — one file downloads as a PDF, several as a ZIP, and the page range applies to each file. It all runs in your browser with pdf-lib, so your files are never uploaded and never leave your device. Stamp PDF is the quick, preset-driven route; if you need a logo image, adjustable opacity and rotation, or any of nine positions (or a tiled pattern), use Add Watermark instead.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The stamp is drawn entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device. You can confirm it in your browser's Network tab: no file data is sent.
Which stamps can I add?
Six ready-made stamps (APPROVED, DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, PAID, FINAL, and REVIEWED) or type your own text in the Custom stamp box. Each is drawn as a bold diagonal mark across the page, in the color you choose.
Which pages get the stamp?
Your choice: every page, the first page only, the last page only, or a custom range like “1-3, 5”. The range is applied to each file, so “last page” is the last page of each PDF in a batch.
Can I use my own text, logo, or position?
You can type your own stamp text and pick any color right here. For a logo image, or control over opacity, rotation, and any of nine positions (or tiled), use our Add Watermark tool.
Can I stamp several PDFs at once?
Yes. Add up to 30 PDFs and the same stamp applies to each. One file downloads as a PDF, two or more download together as a single ZIP.
Is Stamp PDF free?
Yes, it's completely free to use, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
