How to convert TXT to PDF

Frequently asked questions

Are my text files uploaded to a server?
No. Text files are converted entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. They never leave your device. You can confirm it by opening your browser's Network tab while converting: no file data is sent.
Can I convert more than one file at once?
Yes. Add up to 30 .txt files and the same settings apply to each. With “Merge into one PDF” off, one file downloads as a PDF and two or more download together as a single ZIP (one PDF each). Turn merging on to combine them all into one PDF instead.
What does “Merge into one PDF” do?
It combines every text file into a single PDF, in the order shown, with each file starting on a fresh page. Drag the cards (or use the up/down buttons) to set that order before converting.
Which characters are supported?
Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic text (English, most European languages, Vietnamese, Russian, Ukrainian, and Greek, including accents like café) all render, using a bundled Noto Sans font for anything beyond basic Latin. Scripts such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and emoji aren't covered yet, so those characters are replaced with “?”. Curly quotes and dashes are converted to their plain equivalents.
Can I control the page size and font?
Yes. Pick A4 or US Letter with portrait or landscape orientation and a margin, then set the font (Helvetica, Times New Roman, or Courier), size, and line spacing. Long lines wrap automatically and the text flows onto as many pages as needed.
Is TXT to PDF free?
Yes, it's completely free to use, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
