Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDF is rendered and signed entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. The file and your signature never leave your device. You can confirm it in your browser's Network tab: no file data is sent.
How do I place my signature?
Create it on the right (draw it, type your name in a font, or upload an image), then drag it onto the page and resize it with the corner handle. You can also nudge it with the arrow keys or set its size with the slider.
Can I sign more than one page?
Yes. Choose “This page only”, “All pages”, or a custom range like “1-3, 5”. The signature is placed in the same spot on each chosen page.
Is this a legally-binding digital signature?
It's a visual (appearance-based) signature, an image of your signature on the page. It does not add a cryptographic digital signature or certificate (PKI/eIDAS), so it isn't tamper-evident and doesn't verify identity. It suits most forms, agreements, and everyday documents. For a certificate-based e-signature, use a dedicated digital-signature service.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. You can draw with your finger, drag the signature to place it, and resize it by dragging the corner. It's built to be touch-friendly on phones and tablets.
