Convert PDF to BMP, free and entirely in your browser
Save PDF pages as BMP bitmaps when a specific piece of software insists on the format — older Windows applications, some signage and label systems, embedded displays, and certain imaging or machine-vision tools that read raw bitmaps and nothing else. pdfcosmos renders each page and writes the BMP on your own device, so the document is never uploaded.
Choose the resolution (72 DPI for screens, 150 for a solid default, 300 for print-sharp) and convert all pages, just the first or last, or a custom range like 1-3, 8, 11-end. One page downloads as a .bmp file and several arrive together as a ZIP. There's no quality setting because BMP is uncompressed: every pixel is stored exactly as rendered, which is the point of the format and also why the files are large. If you want the same lossless fidelity at a fraction of the size, PDF to PNG is the better choice.
-
Exact, uncompressed pixels
Every pixel is stored as rendered — no compression artefacts of any kind.
-
What legacy software expects
The format older Windows and imaging tools ask for by name.
-
Convert any pages
All pages, the first or last, or a custom range like 1-3, 8, 11-end.
-
Nothing is uploaded
Pages are rendered and encoded in your browser. No file data leaves your device.
