BMP (Windows Bitmap) is an old, uncompressed image format that offers great fidelity but produces large, awkward files. Converting to PDF makes them smaller and easy to open, print, or share anywhere. It all happens on your device, so nothing is uploaded.

Your browser decodes each bitmap locally and it is re-encoded before being placed into the PDF, which also shrinks the result, since BMP is uncompressed. Add up to 50 bitmaps, drag them into the order you want, and choose Fit to image or A4 / US Letter with an orientation and margin.

How to convert BMP to PDF

Frequently asked questions

Are my BMP files uploaded to a server?
No upload happens at any point: the bitmaps are read and converted on your machine, inside the browser. If you open the Network panel in DevTools during a conversion, no file traffic appears.
What is a BMP file?
BMP (Windows Bitmap) is an old, uncompressed image format. That makes the files large and awkward to share. Converting to PDF makes them smaller and easy to open anywhere.
Can I convert several BMP images at once?
Yes. Queue as many as 50 bitmaps. The tool gives each one its own page, keeps the sequence you set (drag to reorder, or use the arrow buttons), and by default produces one combined PDF at the end; with two or more files, a “Multiple files” option can instead make a separate PDF for each, bundled together as a ZIP.
Can I set the page size and margins?
Yes. “Fit to image” makes the page the same size as the bitmap itself. Alternatively, pick A4 / US Letter plus an orientation and margin, and each bitmap is scaled to fit the page and centered on it.
Is there a limit on how many images or their size?
Up to 50 bitmaps per run. Keep each file under 100 MB and the whole batch under 300 MB. Anything over the limit is skipped with a clear message. Worth knowing: BMPs are uncompressed, so they hit size limits sooner than other formats.
Is BMP to PDF free?
