Long documents rarely need to be shared whole. A client may only need the signature pages of a contract, a lender two months from a statement bundle, a reviewer one chapter of a draft. Extract Pages copies exactly those pages into a fresh PDF and leaves the original untouched, and because the work is done by a WebAssembly engine inside your browser tab, the document itself is never sent anywhere.

List the pages the way you want them to appear (5-9 for a section, 2, 14, 31 for scattered pages, or even 8, 1-3 to move page 8 to the front), and the new PDF follows that order exactly. You always receive one clean, ready-to-share file rather than a ZIP of fragments, which makes this the fastest route from “here's the full document” to “here's the part that matters.”

How to extract pages from a PDF

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No, and you can verify it yourself. The extraction engine (qpdf, compiled to WebAssembly) runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF is opened, read, and rebuilt on your own device. Keep your browser's DevTools Network panel open while extracting: no file transfer appears.
How do I pick the pages to extract?
Separate entries with commas and use a hyphen for a run of pages: 2, 5-7, 12-end takes page 2, pages 5 through 7, and everything from page 12 to the last page. Writing end (or z) always means the final page, so you don't need to know how long the document is.
Can I change the order of the extracted pages?
Yes. The new PDF follows your list, not the original document. Typing 10-12, 1 produces a file that starts with pages 10 to 12 and ends with page 1. For full drag-and-drop reordering of an entire document, the Organize Pages tool is the better fit.
How is this different from Split PDF?
They solve opposite problems. Split PDF divides one document into many files (per range, per page, or every N pages) and hands you a ZIP. Extract Pages gathers your chosen pages into one new PDF. Want a single excerpt to share? Use Extract Pages. Want the document broken apart? Use Split.
Is the extracted PDF's quality reduced?
No. Pages are copied structurally into the new file (the same text, fonts, and images, with nothing re-compressed or rasterized), so text stays selectable and print quality is unchanged.
